Viborg Tunic
1100 - 1200 CE
This unusual linen shirt dates to 11th century Søndersø; starting in the last decades of the Viking age and surviving well into the Renaissance. Constructed from stitched sleeves, ribbons for securing the neck, a square front panel, and a slitted rectangular base, this tunic more closely resembles clothing from the Mediterranean than its closer cousins.
The Burgschneider Olaf recreation is faithful to the original look with a more modern fabric.
