This material shrinks a lot if machinewashed. The photo show two "BRAIES GISBERT" one that have been machine-washed at 30degrees C. then air dried and one that have not been.
The result is the same with the shirts. So order a size that is big for you.
But other than that, it is a nice shirt for a good price.
First of all, it arrived in 3 days to the US. From Germany. Let that settle in. Secondly, I am so so delighted in the quality. An incredible bang for the buck for a piece that is quite authentic! We could have easily spent this much on something cheap that would only get used once that was made in China, and I'm really pleased that we didn't because all of our pieces from Burgschneider are going to see a lot of use. Die Stoffqualität ist gut, die Verarbeitung sorgfältig, der Preis sehr angemessen. Würde ich wieder bestellen. Unbedingt bei der Größenwahl die Hinweise in der Produktbeschreibung beachten. Nicht vergessen: Baumwolle läuft bei der ersten Wäsche um 2-5% ein. Der ungefärbte Stoff ist für empfindliche Haut bestimmt ein Plus.

Nice fit and quality of item
I bought 3XL for my 6'5” 260# body, which is usually a good size. The width of the shirt is good but the length of the body and sleeves are too short- very short. Also the material feels like canvas, not what I was expecting or hoping for

Good! But maybe not for me. Fit is a little shorter than expected (pre-shrunk maybe?), and the cotton is not that soft. You have to like stiffer material.

sehr schönes oberteil. ich bin 2,02m groß und kräftig gebaut. passt ganz knapp. arme hoch = bauchfrei, aber ich laufe ja nicht mit erhobenen händen durch die gegend.
Item arrived super quick. Was super impressed with the quality of this shirt. No exposed edges, almost all rolled hems. The fabric is also nice and sturdy and doesn't feel like it will fall apart after one wash and wear.

Soft and light to the touch, this classic garment is a great choice for anyone wanting to get medieval.
