Our Mission
At Burgschneider, we want to make the world a little better by giving people the tools to
create and the places to come together, face to face. Our worlds are made to be built
together, and the communities that grow in them are founded on collaboration.
We build creative frameworks, not things to consume.
Our clothing, gear, worlds and events are not finished products. They are frameworks that people use to
create their own characters, stories and communities.
We create real, analogue experiences.
Life is moving more and more onto screens, and many people feel lonely even while connected. We offer
a counterbalance: shared experiences that happen fully offline, in person. If you have lived these
experiences for years, we want to help you go deeper. If you have forgotten how they feel, we want to
help you find your way back.
We grow communities built on collaboration and kindness.
The worlds we create can be wild, dark or dangerous, but the people in them shouldn’t be. We want
communities where people build things together, look out for each other, welcome newcomers and treat
one another with kindness. Whoever you meet at our events should leave feeling better for having met
you.
We create spaces where anyone can be anyone.
Every world we build is a sandbox for live action role-playing and immersive play. Instead of watching a
story, you step into it, in costume and in character, and shape it together with everyone around you.
Inside it, you can become whoever you want to be, free from judgement, discrimination or prejudice.
This freedom has three limits: the law, the basic respect we owe one another, and the protection of the
freedom itself. Nobody may use this space to take it away from others.
Freedom inside the world, faithfulness to the world.
Every setting has its own spirit, look and logic. When you step into one, you agree to respect them. This is
not meant to restrict anyone. It protects the immersion that every participant came for, because a world
only feels real when everyone is playing in the same one. We will always uphold that shared agreement.
We give people the tools to create and the places to come together. Step away from the screen,
build something with others, and become anyone you want to be, as long as you respect the
world you chose to enter.
