Gage D. The piece is well made; the steel is definitely as thick as advertised, and when struck it has a clean ring. I plan to put them through some heavy use, and my only qualm is that the joints articulate slightly short of 90 degrees, but that isn't all that much a problem as I don't require the range of motion past that. Overall good for the price if you want the piece for it's looks, but if you want something with a bit more finesse or more encompassing protection you may want to look elsewhere.

thomas aagaard I had hoped for a bit more flexibility, but not a big issue.
It is a bit large for me, even with padding, but again that is just a issue for me. Someone with bigger upperarms will not have this issue.
And the price is good.
