Description

Our medieval shirt Tristan is a straight cut with a stand-up collar and lacing at the neck. The button with buttonhole wasn't invented until the 13th century in Germany, so in this shirt we use lacing and no button placket. The sleeves go straight to the wrist without cuff or cuffs, so it can be worn without problems under a gambeson where cuffs and puffing are often in the way.

An emphatically simple lace-up shirt made of 100% coarse cotton in linen look, which you can use for many different portrayals of servants, farmers, hunters or even knights. Our model combined the look with our Chausses Brandolf and the Braies Gisbert.

THE ultimate LARP shirt

After trying out shirts from every major LARP supplier, I've settled on this one, and own four or five of them now that I wear under every single one of my kits. I love it!

- The fabric and sewing are nice, comfortable and remarkably sturdy; they can withstand abuse on the field as well as vigorous washing.
- The stand-up collar looks nice, prevents chafing and protects the outer layers of the outfit.
- The straight sleeves are easier to iron and to fold than the fancier puffy ones, and fit perfectly under any tunic or gambeson.
- The stitched eyelets are more comfortable and less prone to oxidizing (obviously) than metallic ones.
- And the price is a killing, allowing me to own multiples and wear a clean shirt every LARP day under the more expensive tunics and gambesons.

Seriously folks, never overlook the basics!
