The hands of a warrior serve as both a shield and sword on the battlefield, so it's no surprise that gauntlets were an indispensable piece of armor. This particular mid-14th century example was designed to provide maximum flexibility with its short body and hourglass shape allowing free movement of the wrist. Widespread use in various depictions shows just how effective this timeless design proves to be between the 14th - 15th centuries, making them time-honored tools for warriors everywhere.

The armor and clothes are AMAZING. The my cane in a very neatly packed box with lots of wrappers so it was well protected and the material of the clothes are so realistic and sturdy. I will definitely be wearing this for Fasnacht and i will also buy more. :)

Endlich! Passen auch Handschuhgröße 8!

Ich habe ewig nach Hentzen oder befingerten Panzerhandschuhen ohne lange Stulpe gesucht, die nicht Einheitsgröße 10 sind, oder mit schwindligen Schweisserhandschuhen als Innenhandschuhen daherkommen.
Diese Plattenhandschuhe besitzen innen einen gut vernähten Lederhandschuh mit extra Besatz, damit das Metall die Oberfläche nicht so leicht durchscheuert. Die Plattenteile sind ordentlich vernietet, sowie die Lederschlaufen, durch die der Lederhandschuh läuft.
Vorne sind die Handschuhe mit den Fingerspitzen der Plattenteile mit einem dicken Sattlergarn vernäht. Dadurch machen die Plattenteile an den Fingern jede Bewegung automatisch mit.
Da mir die Lederhandschuhe wirklich perfekt passen, konnte ich wegen dem Garn die Finger nicht sicher um meinen Schwertgriff schliessen, daher musste ich das Garn auswechseln und weiter hinten durch den Lederhandschuh nähen. Das war aber ohne große Probleme möglich, was mir nun den sicheren Griff am Schwert erlaubt.
